“Hi-Tech Dreams is the shiny, futuristic, quality techno that had become a Underground Resistance trademark, but when pressed back to back with the B-side, the whole thing just starts to morph and take on a whole new life of its own.

A record that simply has to be listened to in context. The contrast of such optimistic, cinematic, space-age techno with a totally desolate, tumbling reality is gut-wrenching in its effectiveness. The more I listen to one, the further the other takes me in the opposite direction.

You can almost see the crumbling concrete buildings around you when listening to Lo Tech Reality. And likewise, Hi Tech Dreams slowly becomes brimming with imagery of vast cities in a distant future, endlessly scrolling computer grids, and the eerie darkness of space. It’s a record that really picks you up by the scruff of the neck and drags you into his world.

It is a vision, a statement, and a record that keeps on giving. It was those young guys – just like me and you – trapped in a forgotten city, dreaming of another world — and you can hear it dripping from every single second.
